A good rule of thumb is that you should allocate 15-20% of your wedding budget for a full-service planner. We charged a flat/fixed rate where 50% is due at the time of signing, 25% is due 90-days prior to your event date, and the remaining balance is due 45-days prior to the event.

There will always be advanced notification before anything is done that would incur additional fees. If additional services are requested, we would first discuss it to see if it warranted adding additional fees.

We are at every rehearsal regardless of whether it is at a church and a church director is running the rehearsal. We have never had any issues with a church director and we tend to work together very well. We are available the entire week and at your disposal for the wedding, especially the early morning of the wedding.

Our clients always have access to us by phone/email. Personal appointments depend on what was agreed to in the contract and package selected. Most couples find email works quite well for them as most work during the day and cannot easily pick up the phone. You will always receive communication from us as it is how we stay connected to your visions and you personally.

We always work as a team. We consider the size of your guest list and the level of setup involved. Typically, there’s a lot more involved in planning and executing an event with 300 guests compared to an event with 75 guests. Some events although may be smaller, require more level of detail and staff than others. We have additional assistants and staff we work with and there is always at least two of us at your event at all times.

We have experience in planning a variety of ethnic and contemporary American weddings and events such as Christian, Jewish, Indian, Persian, Asian, Scottish. While we cannot claim to run the full gamut of expertise in every culture’s marriage traditions, we certainly understand when customs govern the way marriage vows are exchanged. With an appreciation of how each culture’s marriage traditions affect many different components, we support a growing number of clients through our professionalism, religious sensitivity and deep respect for the diversity and beauty in each and every culture. We understand and provide invaluable solutions to the complexities and nuances that can arise with ethnic weddings—which may not be so common in western ones.
Lisa Dean
My love for all things wedding began when I was preparing for my own. From pulling and ‘pinning’ the old fashion way, I found my passion for life in planning the details for others.
I hired a Planner for my own wedding because I was in school at the time, as well as working full-time as a paralegal, which all in all left little room for planning. With their help, when my wedding finally came around I had earned my Bachelor of Arts & Science from The University of Texas–Dallas in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.
I have dedicated myself to providing only the highest level of professional service to my clients. My foundation for producing perfectly designed and elegant affairs comes from more than 15 years as a Certified Dallas Wedding Planner / Dallas Event Planner combined with over 20 years in the legal field. My legal background cemented my understanding and knowledge of contracts and negotiations. I have also worked with the Preston Bailey Wedding Planning Institute ~ Lovegevity as a certified instructor in design and planning.
My greatest achievements include the many awards I’ve received over the years, such as Dallas ‘A’ List Planner, The Brides Couples Choice Awards (consecutively from 2010–2020) from Wedding Wire, being recognized as one of the top five finalists for the 2012 National Wedding Industry Experts, my recommendation by Simply The Best Groom, being featured in Brides of North Texas Spring/Summer 2015 Edition as well as Cayman Island Wedding & Honeymoon Summer Edition 2016, Vol. II, Modern Luxury Weddings Dallas September 2019, and most recently The Knot Fall/Winter 2020 Edition all due to my clients’ reviews and endorsements.
